  How Far Apart Were Your Legs?

  several threads on here about the excellent bbc r4 programme this week ('the report') focussing on rape and abuse in barry, south wales, jws.

  fat pervert mark sewell later got 14 years and i hope he is enjoying every minute of it.. the courageous ladies who spoke on the programme were articulate, reasonable and made a tremendous impression.. the quote in the thread title made an impression on me, and i hope, on all listeners.. forget religious, theological, 'biblical' issues and cut to the basics.

  a rape victim was asked to demonstrate - to demonstrate, ffs - to three unqualified (middle-aged at least, presumably) men just how far her legs were apart when she was raped.. i have rarely heard anything so outrageous, and i used to investigate rape and abuse in my profession.

  I think the legs apart issue with the elders was to determine the amount of willingness the victim displayed in the act of aggression by the raper. Then they could pronounce a guilt verdict on the victim in a judicial committee and discount her testimony.

  So if she opened her legs wide would be an indication of willingness to receive advances by the perp thus negating her purity and perhaps highlighting her sinful nature as a possible seductress. Purely a heartless form of denial and shadow project of evil upon the poor lady in her predicament, in other words loving shepperds who will sacrifice the sheep on the alter of savage Deity worship which promotes corporation loyalty by cover ups.

  And let not forget the admission of bribery to the mix as in one elder's response to the the victim as to this person;s paying some bill for him.

  I think "garbage in garbage out" needs to be added to the equation. We might have a powerful computer but if the programs we run on it are full of bugs and viruses(full of shit) what good is a powerful computer if it is bogged down with false data and the programs have flaws?

  i keep reading of some guy who is so upset at someone that he goes into a theater and shoots 20 people..

  or a kid that is so mad that the other kids made fun of him that he goes to school and shoots a bunch of kids..

  or some guy that was fired from his job and he goes back and shoots of bunch of his workers.

  I think if anybody does do anything it will be during the initial shock one has when one finds out how badly they been deceived and treated(disfellowshipped and loss of family and friend) but like Simon says there is more support now for such ones so that in time one gets ones bearings and finds some type support.

  The initial shock and loss takes time to recover from but is is during this early stage that a person eaten up with anger might lash out at his persecutors with violence. I speak from my own experience.

  BTW if I got some terminal illness I think I might perhaps have a tendency to want to take care of some unfinished business if my time was short and go out with a bang instead of a whimper.

  i heard form a reliable source that a kingdom hall consolidation is going to be happening in the us.

  currently they are looking at every kingdom hall to see if they could and should sell it.

  any kingdom hall that has not been updated and is in a bad location (long driveway, not in a visible location etc...) will be sold.

  I was at a place about 15 years ago where I was considering doing something to the GB, but I could not come up with a good plan that would allow me to do what I had in mind so after many long hikes 20+ miles up and down the the foothills to work off my anger at what they done to me my anger subsided. Thankfully I reached a place where that obsession wore off and I was able to move on with my life and make the best of my remaining years.

  I do find consolation though in the way things are happening to this mind control cult as they struggle to keep their Faithful and Discreet Salve fantasy alive and the blunders that wishful thinking is causing them to make. Some of my family is still in and refuse to talk to me and it hurts but my need for revenge on those bastards called the Governing Body is being satisfied by the vast exposure they are now facing as the internet become a household tool for vast amounts of the world's population and will only get worse.

  But I too have wondered when someone will reach a breaking point and gun a couple of them down, I think the possibility is very real and the odds will only increase as the GB pursue their totalitarian heartless course of disfellowshipping dissenters. Eventually they are going to piss off the wrong person who is very unstable with anger issues over whatever. I think that is why they give no advance notice of when a GB member is going to give a talk at a convention in an effort to minimize the risk of this happening.
